I am writing to you today to seek your Member Association’s voluntary participation in a survey request from the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA). This will assist IFATCA in the development of a mature policy on Runway Status Lights which should be mutually beneficial to both our collective memberships.
The Technical and Operations Committee of IFATCA is making a study about the use of Runway Status Lights to be presented during the next Worldwide Conference of the Federation. Input from pilots on this subject would be very valuable. The following questionnaire has been developed to provide them feedback on Runway Status Lights.
- The answers will be anonymous.
- Most of the questions can be answered with a Yes or No. None of them is mandatory.
- The total amount of time needed to complete the questionnaire should be 10-15 minutes.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
Captain Ron Abel
