30 November 2022 – The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) deplores the 25 November 2022 decision by the Supreme Court of Canada to allow the release and use of the recordings from the Air Canada accident flight AC624 Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) in a class action trial. ICAO annex 13 states that the sole objective of an accident investigation is, “the prevention of accidents and incidents without apportioning blame or liability.”(...)

22 November 2022 – IFALPA is closely monitoring the situation unfolding in Lima, Peru after Friday’s runway collision involving a departing LATAM Airlines A320 and a firetruck crossing the runway. Our condolences go out to the families and friends of the firefighters who lost their lives in this tragedy, and our thoughts are with the injured. IFALPA stresses the need to avoid speculation as to the contributing factors of this accident. Safety Bulletin IFALPA: ATC Strike in ASECNA FIRs
23 September 2022 - IFALPA has received reports about an emerging situation in the African region affecting FIRs: DAKAR DOMESTIC, DAKAR OCEANIC, BAMAKO, OUAGADOUGOU, NIAMEY, ABIDJAN, LOME and BRAZAVILLE. Other ASECNA areas may also be affected. A dangerous situation is developing related to the African ATC strike. According to reports received by IFALPA, it appears that a number of controllers have been replaced with unqualified and unlicensed people.
IFALPA Pilot Assistance Manual
