Safety Bulletin IFALPA: Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK)
The attached IATA Operational Notice alerts airlines of the ongoing risk to aircraft operations at BKK airport due to soft ground conditions affecting the taxiways, taxi lanes, and aircraft stands. Soft ground conditions or “soft spots” have been encountered and reported by flight crews and ground service providers at BKK since at least 2008.

Le numéro d’urgence du SNPL France ALPA existe depuis bientôt deux ans. Ce service, conçu pour apporter une aide immédiate aux pilotes confrontés à un événement grave durant leur mission, est coordonné par la Cellule Emergency Number du SNPL. Organisée autour d’un groupe de pilotes spécifiquement formés, la cellule coordonne les actions urgentes, conseille les appelants et les met au besoin en contact avec le large réseau d’entraide du syndicat, en France comme à l’étranger. Au lendemain du bilan annuel de la CEN devant les instances du SNPL, la rédaction a interrogé son rapporteur afin d’en savoir plus sur le fonctionnement du numéro et sur les situations dans lesquelles nos adhérents sont susceptibles de le composer (...)
